Judge Eddy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her law degree from the University of Denver. For the ten years before that she was a senior deputy district attorney in Denver, where she specialized in the prosecution of domestic abuse, child abuse and sex crimes.
Before her appointment she served as a full-time magistrate for the Denver County Court, overseeing traffic court, first advisement court, domestic violence arraignment courts and various specialty courts. Mayor Hancock appointed her to the Denver County Court in 2016.
