Judge Jackson earned his bachelor's degree in economics at Colorado College and his law degree at the University of Colorado Law School in 2005. Before he became a district judge, he served as Ouray County Court Judge and as Municipal Judge for Ouray, Ridgway and Telluride.
He was appointed District Judge for Colorado's Seventh Judicial District in 2017 and became Chief Judge in 2024. He hears mainly civil cases and juvenile matters.
