Judge Myer received bachelor's degrees in Spanish and sociology from Temple University in Philadelphia in 2004. She earned her law degree from American University, Washington College of Law, in Washington, D.C., in 2010, and moved to Colorado shortly after finishing law school.
She began working as a public defender in June 2011 in the Glenwood Springs Regional Trial Office of the Office of the State Public Defender. At the time of her appointment she was the managing attorney of that office. She was appointed a district judge in the 9th Judicial District in June 2023.
