Judge Hansen was born and raised in Washington County. She began practicing law in Akron in 2004 and started her own firm, Hansen Law LLC, in 2011. She has also served nearby communities as a deputy district attorney for the 13th Judicial District, a town attorney, a city attorney and municipal prosecutor, and a municipal court judge in several towns.
In 2016 Governor Hickenlooper appointed her Washington County Court judge. It is a part-time position, and she continues to practice law full-time in Akron in real estate, estate planning, probate and business law.
