Judge Gomez earned her undergraduate degree at Metropolitan State College of Denver and her law degree at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She worked as a Guardian Ad Litem at the Office of the Child's Representative and as Truancy Defense Counsel and Contempt Defense Counsel at the State Court Administrator's Office. She also practiced on her own.
She has been on the bench since 2015, when she was appointed a Magistrate Judge in the Denver Juvenile Court. Governor Polis appointed her to the Denver Juvenile Court in March 2024, where she presides today.
