Judge Jones was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She attended Boston College, where she double majored in political science and communications. She moved to Colorado in 2005 and earned her juris doctor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
After law school she worked as a defense attorney, an administrative law hearing officer and an administrative law judge. She also served as a Magistrate for the 18th Judicial District in Arapahoe and Douglas Counties. She was appointed a District Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District, effective January 10, 2023.
