Judge Lynch received his bachelor of science degree in computer science and his law degree from the University of Wyoming. Before becoming a judge he did non-legal work in the private sector and served as a deputy district attorney in the 8th Judicial District.
Governor Bill Ritter appointed him a Larimer County Court judge, and he took the bench in December 2010.
